Join other film makers in the director's chair this summer for a blockbuster of epic proportions. In our totally redesigned workshop, film making crews will work together with a REAL film maker to story board, scriptwrite, location scout and shoot their original film in eye-catching HD. You’ll also learn how to green screen to create the most authentic films around! Once complete, crews will edit their movie on Final Cut Pro X and create an authentic movie trailer to advertise their film. Of course, the DC experience would not be complete without our Hollywood A-list activities, including our infamous pie fights, water balloon battles, and other cutting edge activities that will help to unleash your inner Spielberg! 

Students will create a stop motion, animated film using their toys and the latest digital equipment from Apple. Participants will learn how to import, edit, and “comicfy” their digital photos to create their own animated comic book. Film crews will also be involved in some amazing 'A' list activities throughout the week that makes Director's Cut one of a kind. Each participant will receive a DVD of their film. A film festival will occur every Friday for family and friends! Please bring a brown bag lunch. Max-15 students.

Students will create a concept, write a script, create characters, clay objects, and design backgrounds and sets. Using the latest digital equipment from Apple, students will learn multi angle stop motion filming techniques; add voices, sound effects, music, and titles. Film crews will also be involved in some amazing 'A' list activities throughout the week that makes Director's Cut one of a kind. A film festival will occur every Friday for family and friends! Director’s Cut Reel Film Experience will put participants live on location in the director’s chair! Students will write a script, scout shot locations, learn multi angle filming techniques, act, edit on the newest Macbooks, and add voices, sound effects, music, and titles.
